AvantLab development center located in St. Petersburg, Russia,
but their services are oriented to Western market, for the most part.
in the Netherlands:
After gaining sufficient experience as ordinal software developer and
project manager in western software outsourcing companies ( Novavox (
Switzerland ), debis Systemhouse (now t-systems ) ( Germany ) and
BuzMe.com (now RingCentral, Inc ) ( USA ) ), Yaroslav Bykov decided to
set up his own company. He has a computer science background ( System
Engineer ) and received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Sciences (2001) at
the St. Petersburg Institute of Informatics and Automation, Russian
Academy of Sciences. After some time of searching of first clients, he
has found a dating agency, called OneHello (2003), in the Netherlands.
Yaroslav and his developers in St. Petersburg implemented a number of
features and services for OneHello's broad range of activities. After
approximately one year of successful joint work, OneHello was bought
by an even bigger international company ( RSVP ). Unfortunately, the
new owner didn't hold much interest in further development. The good
job and reputation of AvantLab company, however, attracted Proteon
Web-Architects, who initially implemented OneHello web portal and work
in close collaboration with AvantLab. Later, one more customer from
the Netherlands supported AvantLab with new projects, this company was
Halotec Interactive, the development and integration firm.
These two customers from Netherlands supply new projects and continue
investment in the form of teaching new technologies to AvantLab
employees.
in Finland:
In September 2004 Yaroslav Bykov has met the Finnish organization
FinPro, that encourage AvantLab to go to Finnish market. In November

interest of Finns in many high-tech areas, in particular in mobile
phone industry.
In June 2005 two experienced C/C++ developers started to learn
development in Symbian OS (for mobile phones) to gain experience and
